Men conspired to ruin the the beauty of Agbe
So they dipped its feathers in dye
But rather than lose its charm
Agbe came out astonishingly beautiful
Again, men conspired to destroy Aluko,
So they dipped its feathers in purple
But rather than lose its charm
Aluko came out even more beautiful
Frustrated, they went after Odidere to smear its beauty
So they conspired and dipped its feathers in palm oil
But rather than lose its charm
Odidere came out stunningly beautiful
Finally, evil men went on to spite Lekeleke
And so dipped its feather in talc
But to their utter disappointment
Lekeleke came out glowingly whiter.
